Overview

The Reclamation Project (TRP) is a youth-led, 501(c)(3) organization that strives to raise the next generation of informed, empowered, and anti-prejudiced individuals.

Since our conception in April 2020, we have released The Radical, a bi-annual magazine that amplifies the voices of marginalized communities to our audience of 20K+ readers, launched #ItStartsWithYOUth, a campaign that designs and disseminates anti-bias curriculum in elementary schools and has impacted 100+ students, and executed a social media campaign for Black Lives Matter that reached 1.5M+ people and led 70K+ individuals to sign petitions and donate to the cause.

Our Values

Our team embraces...

1. Celebration — We believe that conversations about social justice should not only revolve around the historical and present-day oppression of marginalized communities, but also emphasize the joy, agency, and liberation of these groups.
2. Honesty — Dialogues about social issues are as uncomfortable as they are unnecessary. We value the acceptance of difficult truths that challenge our deepest convictions and radically reshape our thinking.
3. Community — Activism can be tiresome and confusing, but the people with whom we work help us thrive, learn, and grow. We strive to create a close-knit community of activists, storytellers, and creators who uplift and support one another.
