Responsibilities

  • Direct the visual style and design schedule of The Radical Magazine and our social media platforms, including style guidelines, layout templates, etc.
  • Oversee the operations and schedule of the graphic design team, which includes regular check-ins, one-on-one feedback meetings, design resources, etc.
  • Have considerable experience with graphic design platforms (e.g. inDesign, Canva, etc.)
  • Plan the posting schedule for our Instagram account, including brainstorming infographic ideas that are relevant, informative, and engaging
  • Posts should focus on education our followers on social issues, highlighting grassroots activists, and publicizing TRP’s initiatives

  • Oversee the Culture section of our website and magazine, which emcompasses works based on our communities and culture
  • Supervise and/or host meetings and feedback sessions with writers and editors

  • Provide detailed and thoughtful editors for written works at several stages throughout magazine development
  • Manage the website with work related to the Culture section

  • Contribute to the magazine’s topics list, theme selection process, and visual style brainstorming
  • Closely follow the magazine’s drafting schedule
  • Estimated time commitment: 2-3hrs/week

  • Follow the posting schedule and design infographics for our Instagram account, referring to TRP’s social media branding deck and content guidelines (create a minimum of 1 post every two weeks)
  • Organize the content and design unique layouts for The Radical Magazine, adhering to TRP’s style guidelines and templates (design around 5-7 pages per issue)
  • Implement specific feedback from the Director of Media & Graphic Design and other executive members
  • Have considerable experience with graphic design platforms (e.g. inDesign, Canva, etc.)
  • Estimated time commitment: 3-5hrs/week

Responsibilities

  • Oversee chapters in a specific geographic location
  • Send biweekly surveys to and attend monthly meetings with chapters to ensure they are staying organized and on task; report back to TRP's executive team
  • Answer any inquiries/concerns from chapter leads and members
  • Review chapter applications and onboard/train chapter leads and members
  • Estimated time commitment: 2-3 hours per week

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and plan initiatives that fall under TRP's three core pillars of education, advocacy, and amplification
  • Oversee, lead, and host weekly meetings with chapter members
  • Recruit and onboard chapter members
  • Regularly update assigned regional lead on chapter progress
  • Estimated time commitment: 3-5 hours per week

Workshop Creator

Responsibilities

  • Attend education team meetings, one-on-one conferences, and calls with creative team members
  • Choose and research important issues and find resources to help educate a younger audience on said issues
  • Create a document plan for facilitators, slideshow, and guide video for each workshop
  • Implement all edits made to resources in a timely manner
  • Plan creative, interactive activities and dittos for children to use while in the workshop
  • Estimated time commitment: 2-3 hours per week
