Creative Director

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the visual style of the magazine (The Radical) and organization
  • Lead, check-in with, and provide positive and constructive feedback to the Creative Team
  • Lead, check-in with, and provide positive and constructive feedback to the Magazine Team
  • Brainstorm and plan topic lists for each release period and magazine issue along with the Executive Director, Editor-in-Chief, and the Managing Editor
  • Help review Creative Team applications with the Director of Operations
  • Create templates and modify the visual style of The Radical every issue (quarterly)
  • Have expertise in various forms of art, especially a good foundation in graphic design
  • Well-organized, responsible, and willing to collaborate

Events Team

Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and execute events (e.g. webinars, workshops, open mics, etc.)
  • Develop outreach strategies to collaborate with other organizations on large-scale events
  • Collaborate with members of other teams (and possibly other organizations) to create and promote events
  • Research and develop marketing strategies to promote events in partnership with Director of Marketing
  • Attend regular meetings with the Directors of Projects for idea brainstorming, briefings, and progress updates
  • Implement feedback from Directors of Projects (Michaela & Em) into your work in a timely manner
